·      Narcotics and drugs

·      Hazardous items such as fireworks, poisons

·      Plants, dried flowers, bulbs seeds, pinecones

·      Fruit and vegetables

·      Cane furniture

·      Alcohol

·      Meats and meat products

·      Dried Flowers, bulbs and seeds including pine cones

·      Firearms, ammunition, explosives, other weapons

·      Pornographic material

In the weeks leading up to the move begin packing. Ensure you leave yourself sufficient time in order to be able to pack everything properly and carefully without feeling rushed off your feet. Start by packing the items you least need, such as items from an attic, certain pieces of furniture and certain clothing items.

This is also a good time to start letting the food in the house ‘run down’. Use up any foods in the freezer and empty the cupboards as much as possible.

Ensure you have set aside all documentation specified in Chapter 2 to avoid these being packed.

As you are packing, discard any items you don’t
